Podiatry Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to assist our podiatrist in providing high-quality foot care services to residents in nursing home facilities. This is a travel position, working part-time in various facilities within the area.

Responsibilities

• Assist the podiatrist in providing foot care services to residents, including nail care, callus removal, and wound care
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all necessary equipment is sterilized and ready for use
• Escort residents to and from the treatment area and assist them in a courteous and professional manner
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Provide support to the podiatrist during procedures and treatments

Requirements

• Medical Assistant certification or CNA license required
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel to different facilities as needed
