Podiatrist - Sheridan, WY

About the role

The Foot Care Center is the region’s largest and fastest growing podiatric practice serving the Billings, Montana, and Sheridan, Wyoming communities. Founded in 1987, the practice is the most innovative in the region and currently has an immediate need for 2 additional podiatrists to support their current volume, with plans for continued growth and expansion.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases
• Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
• Perform surgical procedures as necessary along with wound care management as needed
• Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results
• Prescribe medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery
• Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems
• Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team
• Provide health promotion and preventive medicine
• Appropriately maintain medical records on assigned patients

Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years professional experience preferred
• Current License as a Podiatrist in the State of Montana or Wyoming
• Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry
• Board certification through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery
• Ability to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
• Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
• Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities
• Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
• Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with diverse patient, colleague, and vendor populations
• PC Proficient with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook and EMR database

Schedule

Our 4,500 sq. ft. facility in Sheridan, Wyoming, boasts four treatment rooms, an impressive waiting room, in-office surgical suite, conference room, and management office. We've been in the stand-alone 8,000 sq. ft. building since 2001.
