For our client, a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space, we are seeking a PMO VP Practice Area Leader to drive complex programs from planning through execution with a focus on structure, accountability, and measurable delivery. You will work across business leaders, delivery teams, and strategic partners to align priorities, manage dependencies, and keep initiatives on track. This role offers the opportunity to bring clarity to complex work and deliver outcomes that matter across the organization within a life sciences environment.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the vision and growth strategy for the Project Management Practice and PMO
  • Enhance project management methodologies and governance frameworks to ensure consistency
  • Oversee performance and resource management for high-quality project delivery
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, leading strategic project engagements
  • Establish performance metrics and reporting mechanisms for project oversight
  • Mentor and develop project management talent to build organizational capabilities
  • Collaborate with business development to pursue growth opportunities and market presence

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Life Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
  • PMP certification or Master's of Engineering Management (MEM) is required
  • 20+ years of experience in leading complex projects within life sciences or related industries
  • Experience in building, managing, and growing a project management consulting practice
  • Proven track record of establishing and scaling enterprise-level Project Management Offices (PMOs)
  • Deep familiarity with multi-disciplinary programs, including capital projects and technology implementations
  • Strong mentorship and talent development skills

Pay

$230,000 – $280,000 annually

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
