PMI Engineering Technician II (supporting the Air Force Research Lab)

About the role

ASRC Federal System Solutions LLC, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, seeks a highly motivated Engineering Technician II to support the ASTROS Contract. The position supports cutting‑edge propulsion systems testing at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and requires good mechanical ability.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team environment and take instructions from a more senior technician.
• Perform various assignments throughout the day.
• Apply basic knowledge of building construction and components (HVAC, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, landscaping).
• Use basic experience with mechanical systems.
• Learn to operate a forklift quickly.
• Receive daily instructions, provide feedback, and complete work with minimal supervision.
• Wear assigned personal protective equipment.
• Place safety of self and others above all else; ensure all work is well thought out with safety in mind before starting.
• Communicate job status, understand deadlines, and provide great customer service.
• Adhere to a well‑defined schedule and promptly report any deviations.
• Read blueprints (preferred).
• Use basic hand tools.
• Work overtime or different shifts with little to no notice.
• Work in the Mojave Desert, where outdoor temperatures can be extremely hot or cold.

Requirements

• 0‑2 years of workforce experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Pay

Salary is based on relevant experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal equity, business needs, and other factors permitted by law; posted pay ranges are a guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation.
