What You Will Be Responsible For
- Perform schedule preventive maintenance task on various types of machinery and equipment according to established maintenance plan.
- C Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems, such as leaks, wear and tear, or irregularities in equipment operation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacement of parts.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques.
- Repair or replace defective components, such as motors, belts, gears, or electrical wiring, as needed.
- Support creation and annual review of Job Safety Analyses for maintenance related tasks.
- A Participate and support the plant’s Safe Work Permit process.
- S Support the creation and annual review of specific job procedures for maintenance tasks.
- Maintain a general working knowledge of how to troubleshoot problems through PLC’s.
- Assist other plant mechanics when required, based upon plant priorities as directed by the maintenance team leads or a member of the plant management team.
- Support continuous improvement engineer(s) and production departments by suggesting ways to improve the reliability and/or productivity of the equipment.
What You Will Need
- H High school diploma or GED. Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- O OR - Five years related work experience.
- E Experience with industrial, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems.
- E Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
- A Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- O Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
- C Good communication skills to interact with team members and report maintenance activities accurately.
- A Ability to work equally well individually or in a team situation.
- E Be able to follow and give high regard to safety rules and housekeeping procedures.
