Equipment Maintenance Technician I - PM Tech - Days - A Shift

About the role

Jabil is seeking a Maintenance Tech to join their team in Asheville, NC. The position operates on a 12-hour shift schedule: 8am-8pm on Monday and Tuesday, off Wednesday and Thursday, then back to work on Friday-Sunday, off Monday and Tuesday, and finally back to work on Wednesday and Thursday, and off Friday-Sunday.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance
• Performs feeder maintenance, repair, and data tracking
• Provides assistance in troubleshooting non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process
• Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings
• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts
• May be required to work overtime and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School or GED diploma required
• Associates degree in electronics preferred
• At least 1 year of work-related experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Qualifications

• Use of basic hand tools and equipment
• Understanding of safety practices and requirements
• Experience utilizing Windows products (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Ability to climb to heights measuring about 8-9 ft
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
