About the role
The Locker Attendant position at La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club, Inc. is dedicated to maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of hotel facilities. Responsibilities
- Receives schedules and work assignments from Housekeeping Supervisory staff.
- Scrub guest and employee rest rooms, including walls, floors, mirrors, fixtures, sinks, vanities, toilets, and urinals.
- Replenishes restroom supplies.
- Records tasks performed on cleaning logs posted in each rest room.
- Cleans public restrooms.
- Sweeps, cleans, waxes, and polishes floors.
- Empties wastebaskets, empties and cleans ashtrays, and transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Sorts linens into bins by type and loads and starts washers on appropriate cycles.
- Removes linen from washers and loads and starts dryers, setting the correct temperature and time.
- Removes linen from dryers and removes linen that is stained and spotted for treatment.
- Starts finish work, folds linen, and places on shelves.
- Records starting and ending times of washers and dryers.
- Transports excess soiled linen to Laundry Department.
- Maintains the linen and laundry room in neat and orderly condition.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Less than high school education; up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous cleaning experience in a hotel preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Requirements

- Regularly stands, walks, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
- Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Constantly lifts and/or moves guest luggage, equipment, and supplies.
- Works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
- Works in a noisy environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
- Communicates and works with the Engineering and Front Desk Departments, as well as other internal customers.
- Interacts frequently with guests.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Pay
$20.18 per hour
Schedule
Shifts will generally be rotated unless you were hired for a specific shift, as much as possible to be fair to everyone.
