About the role

The Public Area Attendant will be responsible for the daily ownership and operational execution of the Housekeeping Department. This includes the processing of tasks, following and supporting the Mission Statement and Core Values, and providing quality service to guests.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the highest quality standards in all public areas, assisting and supporting Housekeeping Service Professionals in assigned areas.
  • Assist with any special cleaning projects in common public areas such as foyers, restrooms, offices, porches, lobbies, fitness center, pool area, and spa.
  • Maintain established cleaning/cleanliness procedures.
  • Clean multiple common areas in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Practice safety standards at all times.
  • Follow department standards and assist in implementing new procedures for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure restrooms are maintained and refreshed with supplies on a continuous basis.
  • Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to guests and co-workers at all times.
  • Maintain all cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Organize, store, and distribute supplies.
  • Document maintenance requests on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • One year plus of previous experience.
  • Able to communicate well both verbally and written.
  • Basic knowledge of Housekeeping, preferred.
  • Aptitude to promote minimum levels of skills and abilities that would create a positive outcome in a hot or challenging work environment.
  • Able to perform and maintain a safe working environment according to OSHA regulations.
