PM Field Service Mechanic (Forest Park, GA)

About the role

PALFINGER is searching for an experienced PM Field Service Mechanic to work in the field to service Palfinger's customer's forklifts at various customer locations. This is a remote position in Forrest Park, GA. This position reports to the Regional Field Service Manager.

Responsibilities

• Travel to different customer locations to perform preventive maintenance per customer schedule, Annual DOT inspections and warranty service.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled troubleshooting and repairs during working and non-working hours.
• Able to communicate mechanical issues and needed repairs to shop manager.
• Responsible for service documentation in a timely manner that consists of but limited to: estimates, work order authorization, ordering and recording parts, labor, and inventory documentation.
• Comply with state and federal safety regulations.
• Maintain safe, clean and orderly work areas.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3 years mechanical experience or training with emphasis on preventative maintenance on forklifts.
• Proficient with mechanics and hydraulic systems.
• Basic computer skills with knowledge of Windows applications.
• Proven ability to work independently, to take initiative and be resourceful.
• Must be able sit, stand, bend, squat, crouch, reach and lift 75lbs+ for extended periods of time.
• Subject to: Inside/Outside conditions, Noise, Vibrations, Oils, & Hazards.
• Must speak, read and write English.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Supply own hand tools, Palfinger proprietary tools will be provided.
