Plumbing Service Technician

About the role

OBA, a Groundworks Company, is seeking a Plumbing Service Technician to provide professional plumbing and gas services to homeowners. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in residential plumbing and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate a snake to clear main and branch drain lines in homes and businesses.
• Operate and tow a Jetter to clear clogged sewer lines.
• Diagnose, repair, and/or replace all aspects of a water heater (Electric, Gas and Tankless).
• Install and repair fixtures such as kitchen faucets, bathroom fixtures, and tub/shower fixtures.
• Remove and replace toilets and rebuild toilet components.
• Use a sewer camera and locator to determine the cause of sewer line issues.
• Locate and mark sewer lines, and locate and repair gas line leaks.
• Remove, replace, and install water and gas lines.
• Remove and replace garbage disposals.
• Utilize leak detection equipment to locate leaks under slabs and ground.
• Conduct back flow testing and verify the operation of back flow devices.
• Present a professional solution to homeowners with a written proposal, drawings, and pictures.
• Operate a company vehicle monitored by GPS and maintain safe driving habits.
• Document service calls using ServiceTitan, including notes and pictures.
• Be available for on-call and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in residential plumbing.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Knowledge of basic hand and plumbing tools.
• Experience with home and commercial software and technology – ServiceTitan.
• Appropriate certification for back flow testers.

Schedule

We have a rotating schedule with each shift being a 5-day work week and 1-2 on-call days per month. All other duties will be assigned as needed.
