Plumbing Maintenance Technician – Philadelphia, PA – $26–$35/hr + Quarterly Bonus

American Avenue Property Management (AA) is a boutique real estate fund specializing in the management of affordable, single-family rentals across the U.S. Our mission is to provide residents with the best rental experience by leveraging innovative, software‑driven operations to manage and improve homes in dozens of markets simultaneously. As a Residential Handyperson/Maintenance Technician (Property Engineer), you’ll be the face of AA, representing our values and commitment to residents and the community. You’ll be the plumbing lead for our single‑family rental homes in Macon, GA, receiving work orders on your phone, routing home‑to‑home, and fixing issues right the first time while running your route like your own business.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and replace water heaters (tank and tankless, gas and electric)
• Drain clearing and augering, main line stoppages, camera work (if skilled)
• Leak detection and repair: supply lines, PEX, copper, CPVC
• Fixtures, valves, toilets, disposals, hose bibs, shut‑offs
• Repipes and rough‑in repair during turns
• Electrical, carpentry, and appliance calls (multi‑trade days)
• Turns/make‑readies, inspections, vacancy checks, move‑in/out walks
• Photo documentation in our app (iPhone/iPad – one‑day training)

Requirements

• 3+ years hands‑on residential plumbing service and repair
• Own truck or van and own hand tools (tool reimbursement + $0.76/mile)
• Valid driver’s license; live within reasonable distance of Macon
• Background check; ability to work in crawlspaces, slab houses, lift 50 lbs
• Big plus: journeyman card or plumbing license (GA), HVAC skills or EPA 608, drain machine and press‑tool experience, prior SFR/property maintenance at volume

Pay
