Plumbing Maintenance Technician

About the role

The role involves maintaining and repairing plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings. This includes diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring all work complies with local building codes.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose plumbing issues and recommend solutions
• Perform routine maintenance checks on plumbing systems
• Install and repair various plumbing fixtures and appliances
• Ensure all work adheres to safety and regulatory standards
• Communicate effectively with clients and other tradespeople

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• At least 2 years of related experience in plumbing maintenance
• Knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Good problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to perform manual labor

Skills

• Proficient in using hand and power tools
• Familiarity with plumbing systems and components
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
