Plumbing / HVAC Estimator

What You'll Do

• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and bid documents
• Performing detailed quantity takeoffs using QuoteExpress and Microsoft Excel
• Soliciting and evaluating vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Preparing complete, competitive bid proposals
• Participating in estimating strategy meetings
• Working with project managers and field leadership to ensure constructability and scheduling
• Supporting bid-day activities and final proposal submissions

Qualifications

• Has estimating experience in plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical construction (preferred but not required)
• Can read-or is eager to learn to read-construction drawings and specifications
• Is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys solving problems
• Is comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Communicates well and enjoys working as part of a team

Experience

• PREFERRED: Three or more years estimating commercial or industrial plumbing or HVAC projects
• Also ENCOURAGED: If you've worked in the field and are ready to move into estimating, we'd love to hear from you. We are willing to train the right motivated candidate.
