Plumbing Field Instructor
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective training sessions in plumbing techniques and best practices, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
- Collaborate with the education team to enhance and develop course materials that meet the needs of students and industry requirements.
- Provide field instruction, guiding students through real-world plumbing projects to reinforce theoretical knowledge with practical experience.
- Foster a supportive learning environment, offering guidance, feedback, and encouragement to students to help them succeed.
- Evaluate student progress through practical assessments and provide constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience.
- Promote a culture of safety by ensuring all students understand and adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
- Work closely with other instructors and staff to maintain a cohesive educational approach and share best practices.
Requirements
- Valid journeyman, tradesman or master plumbing license required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the plumbing industry, with a strong understanding of residential construction experience.
- Previous experience as a crew lead in all phases of residential new construction preferred.
- Previous experience in teaching or training is preferred, with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical concepts.
- A genuine enthusiasm for training and mentoring students, with a commitment to their success.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage students of diverse backgrounds and skills levels.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple training sessions and student assessments.
