Plumbing Estimator

Job Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial, residential, and mixed-use plumbing projects.
• Review blueprints, specifications, and scope documents to perform material takeoffs and labor estimates.
• Develop competitive bid proposals in collaboration with project managers, engineers, and bid coordinators.
• Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to gather project information.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing.
• Utilize Trimble, FastPIPE, and PlanSwift for estimating and bid preparation.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining bid accuracy.
• Manage and update the bid calendar to ensure proposal deadlines are met.
• Cookordination with internal teams throughout the estimating process.
• Maintain estimating documentation and project records.

Qualifications and Certifications

• Minimum 1 year of commercial plumbing estimating experience required.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial plumbing experience preferred.
• Experience with multifamily construction preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents required.
• Experience using Trimble, FastPIPE, and PlanSwift preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Able to attend site visits and pre-bid meetings as required.
• Able to commute or relocate to Wilmington, NC required.
