Responsibilities
- Project Management role is in conjunction with lead engineer responsibilities.
- Designing plumbing systems including all associated details, risers, isometrics, and specifications.
- Performing system design calculations and equipment selections.
- Laying out plumbing systems including but not limited to sanitary, grease, domestic water, and fire sprinklers.
- Writing studies and reports for plumbing systems when needed on projects.
- Absorbing the MEP design of projects from concept to completion, including continuous interface with the design team and clients.
- Responding to Requests for Proposals and Requests for Qualifications for various clients and marketing opportunities.
- Mentoring and coordinating the work of designers and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects.
- Managing and delivering tasks under minimal supervision and guidance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of related experience.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
- Proven design experience with comfort and HVAC systems and related controls.
- Proven design experience with plumbing systems including water, sewer, and gas.
- Experience producing engineering and energy studies including comcheck, Title 24.
- Experience mentoring and coordinating the work of EITs, designers, and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects.
- Able to manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance.
- Experience in AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability.
- Able to work individually or in a multi-discipline team.
