MEP Plumbing Designer / Engineer

Job Roles And Responsibilities Develop plumbing system designs and construction documents using Revit/BIM and AutoCAD workflows.Prepare engineering calculations, equipment selections, and system sizing for plumbing systems.Design and coordinate plumbing systems from schematic design through construction documentation.Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, architectural, and structural teams to ensure design coordination.Review project requirements and provide technical support throughout project phases.Assist project managers with client coordination, RFIs, and submittal reviews.Participate in construction administration activities including site visits, RFI responses, submittal reviews, and punch list support.Support internal quality control and design coordination efforts.Apply applicable plumbing codes, standards, and regulations including Florida Building Code (FBC) Plumbing requirements.Continue developing technical knowledge of building systems and engineering practices. Qualifications And Certifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.2+ years of experience in MEP consulting, building systems design, or design-build environments.Experience designing plumbing systems for building projects.Proficiency with Revit.Experience with AutoCAD and BIM coordination preferred.Working knowledge of building systems, plumbing codes, and industry standards.EIT certification preferred.Candidates pursuing PE licensure or recently licensed Professional Engineers encouraged.Experience with commercial, residential, institutional, or mixed-use projects preferred.Strong communication and coordination skills.Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.Self-motivated with interest in technical and professional growth.
