Plumbing Design Engineer

About the role

A Plumbing Design Engineer is a member of our multi-disciplinary design team and will work alongside our engineering leadership. The Engineer will have opportunities to work on various types of renovation and new construction projects for commercial, multi-tenant residential and institutional building types, including health care, technology, utilities & education markets.

Responsibilities

• Drafting of Plumbing construction drawings including details, plans & sections
• Plumbing related calculations
• Design of Plumbing systems
• Selecting Plumbing equipment
• Coordinating with other engineering and architectural trades during design
• Developing construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit
• Participating in developing details, equipment schedules and specifications
• Researching and assessing building performance and other regulations
• Contributing to design discussions and carrying design concept through to project drawings
• Contributing to sustainable design discussions and implementing sustainable strategies
• Collaborating with other team members

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Computer Aided Drafting
• Minimum 8-years of experience working for a consulting engineering firm
• Ability to work with minimal assistance from senior staff
• PE not required but a plus
• AutoCAD and/or Revit experience required

Skills
