About the role

The Lead Renovation Specialist oversees a team of Renovation Specialists, managing schedules, assigning work, and ensuring successful execution of renovation projects across multiple locations. This role requires strong leadership, project management, and communication skills to coordinate teams, monitor progress, and maintain high-quality standards. The Lead Renovation Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for direct reports, providing guidance, performance feedback, and professional development support, while also contributing personally to project work.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of Renovation Specialists across assigned territories.
  • Develop, maintain, and adjust work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and timely project completion.
  • Assign renovation projects and tasks to team members based on skills, availability, and workload.
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and quality standards to ensure successful delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, and vendors to support project needs.
  • Conduct site visits to scope projects and place orders for necessary materials and supplies.
  • Monitor team performance and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and training.
  • Conduct regular project site visits to assess progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Resolve escalated project or personnel concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Prepare reports on project status, resource allocation, and team productivity for leadership.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements.
  • Work side-by-side with the Renovation Specialist Team to complete project scope—personally contributing to work being performed.
  • Oversee inventory of company assets assigned to team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of renovation, construction, or facilities project management experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of renovation processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, scheduling, and resource management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software; familiarity with budgeting and reporting.
  • Ability to travel frequently to sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing multi-site renovation projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project scheduling software.
  • OSHA certification or equivalent safety training.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds; occasionally required to lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external members via telephone.
  • Required usage of cleaning chemicals, ladders, and cleaning utensils.
  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; noise level in the environment is occasionally loud.

Travel

Travel between facilities to service multiple locations is required.

Pay

Actual offer may vary based on location, work experience, and education. Salary ranges by geography:

  • Los Angeles, Orange County, and Seattle: $55,315.00–$69,173.00 (Exempt), $26.59–$33.26/hour (Non-Exempt).
  • Bay Area (California) & New York City (including New Jersey): $57,720.00–$72,180.00 (Exempt), $27.75–$34.70/hour (Non-Exempt).
  • San Diego, Carlsbad (California), and all other locations: $51,948.00–$64,962.00 (Exempt), $24.98–$31.23/hour (Non-Exempt).
