An Apprentice Plumber I assists in complex plumbing jobs and handles smaller jobs independently. This position requires travel as needed.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate willingness to excel and learn commercial plumbing
- Determine the right tools and equipment necessary to complete jobs successfully
- Learn industry-relevant building codes and regulations for installation and maintenance of commercial plumbing systems
- Measure, cut, and bend pipe material
- Arrive on the jobsite at the required time
- Attend all safety meetings
- Follow instructions given by on-site leadership
- Clean the job site after work is completed
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
- OSHA 10 Certification required
- No experience necessary but preferred
Skills
- Ability to listen to instructions and follow through with requests
- Familiarity with plumbing tools and equipment
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
Physical Requirements
- Required to stand, walk, and sit
- Ability to talk or hear, both in person and by telephone
- Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls
- Reach with hands and arms
- Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds
