Plumber - Physical Plant

Position Details

Work Year: 12 Months
Work Hours: Tuesday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; Saturday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Occasional after-hours and weekend work as needed, Schedule may change based on operational needs
Minimum Hourly Rate*: $30.65/Hour
Compensation is commensurate with qualifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent.
  
• Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
  
• Department of Health (DOH) Water System Operator II Certification (or ability to obtain within one year of employment).
  
• Classification of “Journeyman Plumber” or possess comparable skill level.
  
• Journeyman Plumbing License is highly preferred but not required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of licensure.
  
• Demonstrated working knowledge of standard construction practices, methods, materials, equipment and safety practices of the plumbing trade.
  
• Demonstrated competence installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems, including controls, valves, pumps, equipment and related apparatus.
  
• Demonstrated competence operating and repairing commercial gas equipment.
  
• Must have actual experience in the use of power actuated tools, and various gas/electric tools.
  
• Must own set of hand tools (e.g. pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, etc.) as well as some power tools.
