About the role

This vacancy is with the Department of Human Services located in Kapaa. This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified applicants to fill the current vacancies and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur. A continuous recruitment may be closed at any time.

Responsibilities

  • Performs skilled plumbing work in the repair, maintenance and installation of plumbing systems and equipment;
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • LEGAL AUTHORIZATION TO WORK: The State of Hawaii Requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
  • State of Hawaii Plumber License: Applicants must possess a valid State of Hawaii Journey Worker Plumber License or Master Plumber License at the time of application. Note: Hawaii does not have reciprocity agreements with other jurisdictions.   • Driver's License: Some positions require possession of a valid driver's license at the time of appointment. The immediate vacancy has this requirement.
