Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and assigned preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PDM) to identify or prevent potential plumbing failures.
- Conduct preventive maintenance repairs (PMR) by addressing defects found during PM or PDM activities.
- Complete corrective repairs in response to reported issues to restore functionality.
- Carry out planned work related to heating and plumbing trades.
- Install, maintain, test, and calibrate plumbing components connected with water, gas, air, and sewer systems in bathrooms, laboratories, and kitchens.
- Maintain and operate equipment such as pumps, faucets, valves, traps, pipes, water heaters, and emergency showers.
- Operate and monitor sewage systems using recording equipment to troubleshoot problems.
- Locate and repair plumbing failures and malfunctions; install, maintain, and repair backflow preventers; make emergency plumbing repairs as needed.
- Assist with work performed by central shops, contractors, other zones, departments, and campus
