Plumber

Key responsibilities include the design and installation of various plumbing and mechanical systems, performing preventative and corrective maintenance on plumbing, mechanical, fire protection, infrastructure, and HVAC systems, pump repairs, water treatment for closed loops, utility locates, and backflow prevention. Collaborates with clients, project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure proper installation and operation of facility systems.

This role is expected to work on-site at the Anschutz Campus in Aurora, Colorado.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications:
  • Three years of progressively responsible plumbing experience in a construction or combination construction and maintenance and repair environment.
  • Substitution: Successful completion of a formalized plumbing apprenticeship program, or higher level, non-correspondence coursework in the same fields from an accredited vocational school or university may substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Must possess a Journeyman or Master plumber’s license.
  • Colorado law requires that candidates for state government jobs be residents of Colorado at the time of application.
  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • State of Colorado Backflow Certification
  • Experience servicing and maintaining equipment and machinery
  • Experience in planning and laying out complete project designs

Pay

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $4,955 - $5,747 per month ($59,460 - $68,964 per year). This position is eligible for overtime compensation.

If you have prior state-classified service in the same class series as this position, your pay may be set at a higher amount per the state Step Pay Program implemented on July 1, 2024.
