Qualifications

• High school or General Education Development (GED) diploma.
• Experience in the installation, maintenance, or repair of air, water, gas, or waste disposal systems; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requirements

• Must be able to bend, push, pull, and lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must have a current valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to operate power tools.

Responsibilities

• Measures, cuts, threads, assembles, and installs pipes and tubing under supervision.
• Checks plumbing systems to detect leaks.
• Unstops commodes, drains, sewer lines, and cleans grease traps.
• Installs water and sanitary fixtures under supervision.
• Makes repairs to water and waste disposal systems.

Skills & Abilities

• Basic knowledge of the techniques, methods, and tools of the plumbing trade.
• Some skill in the performance of duties related to the plumbing trade.
• Ability to use power tools associated with the plumbing trade.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Physical strength sufficient to work at heavy manual labor for considerable periods of time.

Pay

Starting salary range: $34,885.80 – $50,197.80 (Grade 61) plus longevity.

Schedule

12-month work year, at-will employment, FLSA non-exempt.
