About the role
The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering and/or computer science background, deep understanding of software product development, and a proven track record of managing global cross-functional teams in a fast-paced tech company.
Responsibilities
- Engage closely with engineering and product development leadership, identifying opportunities for automation and business process solutions with positive impact to engineering productivity and design quality.
- Ensure effective and efficient execution of the project/program to established guardrails of scope, timeline and budget.
- Track execution and compliance metrics and provide regular status and feedback to stakeholders.
- Actively manage all aspects of project planning and execution in line with established processes and guidelines.
- Work with line managers (Competency Center), Resource Management to staff projects and resolve staffing issues.
- Actively manage and ensure compliance to project financial processes, reporting and escalation.
- Conduct appropriate reviews to ensure documentation and solutions are of acceptable quality.
- Manage project/program risks, making sure they are identified, evaluated and addressed as per established guidelines.
- Mentors and trains PMs. Is recognized as a subject matter expert in Project Management.
Qualifications
- Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and CAD applications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in program/project management within a technology company.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Systems like Teamcenter and Windchill
- Familiarity with CAD applications like UG NX, Solidworks, Inventor and Creo
- Familiarity with ECAD applications like Zuken E3s, OrCAD, Altium
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project).
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or Scrum certifications are a plus.
