PLC Tech
Our plant in Mason, OH is looking for an expert-level role responsible for leading automation projects, advanced PLC programming, and integrating cutting-edge technologies into plant operations. This position ensures the highest level of automation reliability, compliance with network and cybersecurity requirements, and continuous improvement in food manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize PLC programs from scratch to enhance plant efficiency.
- Lead HMI and SCADA development, integrating new automation solutions.
- Assist in setting up VMs on housed servers to allow additional optimization of plant equipment.
- Monitor and maintain Asset Centre to optimize the recording and housing of PLC programs and documentation for secure access and traceability of changes.
- Maintain RDWEB to optimize use by both in-house teams and contractors for system access and troubleshooting.
- Work with Fanuc Robots to make minor programming changes and support process improvements.
- Collaborate with Corporate OT Engineering to stay up to date with network requirements and industry best practices.
- Work with Rockwell Call Center to assist in upgrades and optimization of the OT Network.
- Identify opportunities for AI and machine learning-driven automation improvements.
- Implement Industrial IoT (IIoT) and predictive maintenance strategies to enhance plant performance.
- Lead large-scale automation projects, including vendor coordination and system upgrades.
- Ensure all electrical, automation, and network systems meet OSHA, NEC, FDA, and GMP regulations.
- Document all system modifications and troubleshooting efforts in SAP.
- Operate forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts safely.
- Train others and fill in for other positions as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- History of safe work practices.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, or logistics environment is required.
- Ability to safely lift and carry 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and implement Quality standards.
- Achieve a qualified score on the job skills assessment (coordinated after a passing interview score).
- Advanced knowledge of pneumatic systems and automated control applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and reporting.
- Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime and demonstrate shift flexibility as needed.
Pay
$43.89 per hour on 1st shift.
