Players Club Representative
Job Summary
The Players Services Representative performs all transactions presented. Serves as guest contact and key data entry clerk for Players Card database information.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Verifies loose and bundled money, coin transactions, and check cashing.
- Processes jackpots, cashes checks, redeems valid gaming vouchers for cash, and redeems vouchers for cash.
- Works as Player Services Representative, Mutuel Teller, and/or Count Room Attendant as needed.
- Safeguards company assets and adheres to all player services policies and procedures.
- Balances all money transactions and paperwork.
- Handles guest financial transactions.
- Maintains and balances all funds under his/her responsibility and prepares reconciliation reports.
- Ensures cash inventory is well secured.
- Identifies and gathers information on valuable guests through observation, analysis, personal contact, and service.
- Executes guest loyalty, relationships, and direct marketing programs.
- Provides services to respond to guest requirements.
- Accurately and efficiently performs data entry tasks associated with Players Club memberships.
- Records and reports databased information to management; may assist in updating database files.
- Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of all special events, promotions, advertising campaigns, and community events.
- Follows all standard operating procedures and cash handling procedures.
- Issues food coupons, up to authorized limit, to guests.
- Solves problems within the position's scope of authority and recommends actions to supervisors for issues beyond the scope.
Required Skills And Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, preferred.
- Professional demeanor and ability to communicate well with the public.
- Knowledge of cash handling skills.
- Knowledge of gaming regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices.
Education And Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of three (3) months cash handling experience preferred in related field.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Must obtain and maintain valid Virginia Racing Commission License.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- May be required to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- May be required to sit or stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- May be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- May be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- The work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise, and flashing lights depending on the assigned station and guest volume.
Required Licenses
- Valid Virginia Racing Commission License.
