Player Develop Host

About the role

Owensboro Racing & Gaming is seeking a Player Development Host to serve as the ultimate VIP ambassador. The ideal candidate will build lasting relationships with guests, plan and host events, and ensure outstanding service.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for players, ensuring outstanding service and timely response to inquiries.
• Build and nurture relationships with guests through personalized attention and engagement strategies.
• Plan and host player events, tournaments, and promotions to drive excitement and participation.
• Maintain a compliant and professional environment by monitoring player activity and engaging with guests.
• Work flexible hours including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, outgoing personality.
• Ability to build rapport quickly and foster lasting guest relationships.
• Strong problem-solving skills and customer-service mindset.
• High level of professionalism and discretion when handling guest needs.
• Comfortable with fast-paced, dynamic environments and multitasking.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Degree in hospitality, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or gaming is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with gaming industry practices and regulations is a plus.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
• You must be 21 years of age or older to apply.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• May be required to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to work in a noisy, fast-paced, and smoke-filled environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
