Duties
- Operation of various computerized automatic plating systems
- Loading and unloading of hardware onto and off of plating racks
- Taping, wax masking, and demasking of hardware
- Operation of heat treat systems
- Maintenance of chemical processing lines including: making chemical additions and maintaining chemical tanks
- Performing routine maintenance of machines and equipment operated
- Absorbing waste water treatment
- Maintaining cleanliness in and around the equipment
- Performing chemical drainage, tank cleaning, refilling, and chemistry adjustments as instructed
- Inspection and/or test related activities to ensure that parts are plated in accordance with manufacturing standards and blueprint specifications
Qualifications
- High School or GED required
- 2+ years of prior experience with special coatings, plating, and/or anodizing is preferred
- Working knowledge of industrial manufacturing safety requirements or hazardous materials is a plus
- Ability to follow all safety and planning instructions
- Ability to read, understand, and correctly interpret basic blueprint drawings, process planning, and work instructions
- Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches)
