Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and assess platform integrity and abuse risks
- Design and develop solutions to priority risks. Own their deployment and effectiveness in concert with a wide range of stakeholders
- Represent the team in cross-functional groups and in appropriate areas of expertise
- Establish yourself as an expert in 2+ relevant investigative techniques, technologies or abuse prevention strategies
- Reactively investigate potential issues such as scams, fraud, and illicit goods and activities
- Conduct periodic reviews to support legal and compliance obligations
- Execute with consideration for customer privacy, targeting activities of indisputable harm and avoiding overreach
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of professional experience in global affairs, intelligence, or investigations; OR 12+ years of professional experience in global affairs, intelligence, or investigations in lieu of a degree
- 6+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), geospatial tools (e.g., ArcGIS), and/or statistical software (e.g., R)
- 6+ years of experience investigating, mitigating, or dealing with illicit operators (e.g., fraud, abuse, cybersecurity, or other illicit activities)
- 3+ years owning and driving improvements in processes, technology, or other business areas to improve customer integrity or related capabilities
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience enabling others, influencing organizational decisions, and building consensus around solutions to challenging problems
- Strong analytical research and communication skills, including excellent written and oral communication skills
- International professional exposure (e.g., working abroad or on global initiatives/businesses)
- Experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or vulnerability assessment in high-stakes environments
- Experience with research and intelligence analytic techniques, including open-source intelligence (OSINT) data techniques
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment in a fast-paced, high-tech environment
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Familiarity with U.S. and international economic sanctions and export control laws and regulations
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to travel as needed for business (15%)
- This position is based in Bastrop, TX and requires being onsite—remote work not considered
- Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed
ITAR REQUIREMENTS
- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
