Platform and Security Account Executive
About the role
The Platform Account Executive role at Salesforce is part of the Agentforce initiative, which aims to enhance DevOps and enrich user experiences through AI. This position is within the Platform Cloud team, which provides a comprehensive suite of tools for application development and management.
Responsibilities
- Become a go-to expert on our Platform portfolio and its value to customers.
- Create and maintain a dynamic Territory Plan and contribute to Key Account Plans.
- Generate new leads through proactive prospecting and assist in qualifying opportunities.
- Exceed annual sales quotas by guiding clients through the full sales cycle, addressing their unique challenges.
- Promote the power of the Platform, sharing customer success stories to illustrate its value.
- Enable and educate internal teams to identify and qualify Platform opportunities effectively.
- Collaborate with Salesforce Partners and Consultants to align on strategies and solutions.
- Strategize, negotiate, and close deals to drive mutual success.
Requirements
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets and navigating complex deal cycles in SaaS with tenacity and discipline.
- Experience in selling similar solutions or a strong understanding of our subject matter.
- Ability to develop and execute strategies while inspiring others along the way.
- Strong skills in uncovering customer needs, with a penchant for asking "why" to explore how the Platform can add value.
- Proven ability to work effectively with various stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for both the customer and Salesforce.
- A commitment to guiding customers on their Salesforce journey with integrity and support.
- Multi-tasking skills to manage multiple priorities while driving both immediate sales and long-term strategic pursuits.
- 5-10+ years of quota carrying software or technology sales, account management, and Enterprise-level sales experience.

Pay
The typical base salary range for this position is $62,250 - $214,400 annually. Specific ranges apply to certain work locations, particularly in California and New York, and select cities in the metropolitan areas of Boston, Chicago, Seattle, and Washington DC.
