Plastics Reliability Technician I

About the Role

As a Reliability Technician at POM Wonderful, you will oversee, maintain, perform tooling changes, and set up production equipment. Your responsibilities include installation and repair of electrical (minor), plumbing, pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and other processing equipment within the Beverage Department, which encompasses Plastics, Serac, or Extraction areas. You will evaluate systems to determine necessary repairs or installations while prioritizing safety and quality in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all company and OSHA safety programs, GMP policies, and food safety procedures.
• Follow GFSI, FDA, USDA, Third Party Audit, and company procedures related to food safety.
• Inspect work for completeness and inform supervisors when assignments or preventive maintenance (PM) tasks are ready for review.
• Determine materials, equipment, and supplies needed for projects and transfer equipment between projects as required.
• Maintain up-to-date routine records and PM documentation.
• Install, inspect, repair, and maintain electrical (minor), plumbing, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and related systems in the Beverage Department.
• Inspect major contract work on mechanical and related systems, assisting as needed to understand new installations or changes.

Requirements

• Ability to interact tactfully and courteously with employees and vendors/contractors.
• Proficiency in installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic, and related systems.
• Capability to perform clean-up and maintenance tasks as needed.
• Ability to update inventories and manage supplies.
• Strong understanding of complex written and oral instructions.
• Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and corresponding safety precautions.
• Welding skills (MIG/TIG, stick, and sanitary).
• Adherence to all food safety programs and policies.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED, or a related technical field. At least two years of education or training beyond high school in general maintenance and repair, or a closely related area. One year of experience in maintenance operations, including two years in a supervisory capacity. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may also be considered.

Pay

Base compensation: $28 - $32 per hour.
