Plastic Surgery - Microsurgeon, Department of Surgery (M89480)

Responsibilities

  • Teaching responsibilities in all areas of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with direct oversight to the resident clinics at the VCU Medical Center.
  • Establish clinical research projects with medical students and residents to establish evidence-based practice outcomes in the areas of clinical and translational research interests.
  • Serve on departmental and hospital committees as assigned and participate in regional and national professional organizations.
  • Provide care for Plastic and Reconstructive patients on the MCV campus of VCU, as well as community facilities.
  • Develop an active surgical practice, with the support of the Division and Department’s leadership.

Qualifications

  • Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
  • Commitment to Resident Education and teaching.
  • Commitment to Clinical Research and Innovation.
  • Fellowship Training in Microsurgery or Hand.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.

Pay

Salary Range: Commensurate
