Responsibilities
- Teaching responsibilities in all areas of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with direct oversight to the resident clinics at the VCU Medical Center.
- Establish clinical research projects with medical students and residents to establish evidence-based practice outcomes in the areas of clinical and translational research interests.
- Serve on departmental and hospital committees as assigned and participate in regional and national professional organizations.
- Provide care for Plastic and Reconstructive patients on the MCV campus of VCU, as well as community facilities.
- Develop an active surgical practice, with the support of the Division and Department’s leadership.
Qualifications
- Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
- Commitment to Resident Education and teaching.
- Commitment to Clinical Research and Innovation.
- Fellowship Training in Microsurgery or Hand.
- Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
Pay
Salary Range: Commensurate
