Physician - Department of Plastic Surgery, Plastic Surgeon, Microsurgeon (Open Rank/Track Faculty)
Position Overview
The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seeks a full-time, Board Certified/Eligible Plastic and Reconstructive Microsurgeon. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience.
Department Overview
- 20 full-time faculty
- 5 faculty at Nationwide Children’s Hospital
- 10 community faculty
- Residency program with 27 residents and 3 fellows (microsurgery and nerve)
- Referral center for central Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky
- Comprehensive Plastic Surgery care at the Wexner Medical Center including University Hospital, East Hospital, The James Comprehensive Cancer Center and multiple free-standing ambulatory sites
Duties and Responsibilities
To provide safe, high quality patient care
To provide clinical and didactic education to learners of all levels
To adhere to all other duties and guidelines of the Department and The Chair as assigned.
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Successful completion of an accredited Plastic Surgery Residency Program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Plastic Surgery
- Successful completion of a Microsurgery Fellowship, or equivalent experience
- Eligible for an Ohio Medical License
