Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive microsurgical reconstruction services, including but not limited to oncologic reconstruction, lymphatic reconstruction, extremity reconstruction, and general reconstructive procedures.
- Participate in shared call coverage within the Division of Plastic Surgery.
- Collaborate closely with clinical care teams across Surgical Oncology, Breast Surgery, General Surgery, and Orthopedic Surgery.
- Educate residents, fellows, and medical students through structured teaching and mentoring.
- Engage in clinical or basic science research; support available for both surgeon-scientists and clinically focused faculty.
- Support the Division's global surgery efforts through the AMPATH Global Program, if desired.
Qualifications
- Must be board-certified or board-eligible in Plastic Surgery.
- Completion of a Microsurgery Fellowship is required.
- Demonstrated expertise and interest in teaching and academic development.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to inclusive excellence in clinical and academic environments.
Appointment and Rank
Appointment will be on the clinical or tenure track based on qualifications and academic interests. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
