About the role

The ideal candidate will have an interest in treating breast cancer, taking facial trauma call, and performing microsurgery. Additional expertise in Hand Surgery or Cosmetic Surgery would be fully supported. Our group supports UCHealth Memorial Central Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center and the busiest breast surgery practice in Southern Colorado.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of reconstructive procedures, including but not limited to implant and autologous breast reconstruction, body contouring, limb reconstruction and reconstruction after skin cancer excision.
  • 1:4 practice call and 3 to 5 days of facial trauma call per month shared with ENT and oral surgery.
  • Able to perform independently or assist with deep inferior epigastric perforator (DIEP) flaps.
  • Ability to perform microsurgery without a microsurgical fellowship.

Requirements

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.
  • Experience in treating breast cancer, facial trauma, and microsurgery.
  • Additional expertise in Hand Surgery or Cosmetic Surgery.
  • Experience with deep inferior epigastric perforator (DIEP) flaps.
  • Knowledge of EPIC EMR system.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Current license to practice medicine in the state of Colorado.
  • Completion of a residency program in Plastic Surgery.
  • Completion of a fellowship in Microsurgery (not required).

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong surgical skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in EPIC EMR system.

Pay

The pay range for this full-time position is $563,000-$626,000 annually.
