Duties And Responsibilities
- Meter reads
- Fuel dips
- Engine oil changes
- Resolve outages or issues in the powerplant or on distribution
- Support technicians traveling into the community
- Test dial-tone at NID
- Resolve outages or issues in the central office or cabinets
- Support technicians traveling into the community
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Self-motivated and able to communicate with other team members
- Safely identify hazards and work around electrical and mechanical equipment
- Mental flexibility, willingness to learn unfamiliar parts of the job, and a positive attitude
- Pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
- One year mechanical or electrical experience preferred
Physical Requirements Of The Job
- Work in loud environments requiring hearing protection
- Work in non-temperature-controlled environments
- Work around rotating equipment
- Stand, sit, crouch, squat, and perform tasks at heights
- Work in a standard office environment with regularly scheduled working hours
- Capable of safely lifting up to 30 pounds on occasion
- Wear safety and personal protective equipment at all times when performing work in the field
Pay And Benefits
The pay for this position is $28.00 per hour.
