Duties And Responsibilities

• Meter reads
• Fuel dips
• Engine oil changes
• Resolve outages or issues in the powerplant or on distribution
• Support technicians traveling into the community
• Test dial-tone at NID
• Resolve outages or issues in the central office or cabinets
• Support technicians traveling into the community

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Self-motivated and able to communicate with other team members
• Safely identify hazards and work around electrical and mechanical equipment
• Mental flexibility, willingness to learn unfamiliar parts of the job, and a positive attitude
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
• One year mechanical or electrical experience preferred

Physical Requirements Of The Job

• Work in loud environments requiring hearing protection
• Work in non-temperature-controlled environments
• Work around rotating equipment
• Stand, sit, crouch, squat, and perform tasks at heights
• Work in a standard office environment with regularly scheduled working hours
• Capable of safely lifting up to 30 pounds on occasion
• Wear safety and personal protective equipment at all times when performing work in the field

Pay And Benefits

The pay for this position is $28.00 per hour.
