Applicants join a growing community of plant care experts who support healthy, thriving plants in clients’ homes.Role Description The Plant Sitter role is a full-time, on-site position based in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, the Plant Sitter visits clients’ homes to water, prune, and monitor houseplants, adjusting care based on each plant’s specific needs. Daily tasks include checking soil moisture, light conditions, and plant health, identifying early signs of stress or disease, and communicating status updates to clients. The Plant Sitter also follows client instructions, maintains a clean work area, and records services provided for scheduling and quality tracking. This role requires reliable time management, respectful interaction in clients’ homes, and consistent, detail-oriented plant care.Qualifications Strong plant care skills, including watering, pruning, basic pest identification, and understanding of light and soil requirements.Attention to detail and observational skills to notice changes in plant health and respond appropriately.Reliable time management, punctuality, and ability to follow structured care schedules across multiple client locations.Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with clients and documenting plant care activities.Ability to work independently in clients’ homes with a high level of integrity and respect for privacy and property.Physical ability to move, lift, and reposition plants and supplies as needed, within reasonable safety limits.Prior experience with houseplants, horticulture, or a related field is preferred but not required.Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to service locations in Los Angeles, CA.
