Responsibilities

• Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed
• Be cognizant of and adhere to safety requirements
• Participate in all safety meetings
• Shoveling, sweeping, and monitoring
• Must be familiar with operating and servicing small equipment
• Must understand or have familiarity with all power and small tools
• Conduct pre-operation checks on equipment
• Clean, lubricate and fuel all equipment and general site housekeeping
• Ensure safety fences, markings, berms are all in place
• Notify supervisor and/or maintenance of any required work to be done

Other Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Mental and Physical Requirements: Able to read, speak and write English; able to work under stressful conditions at times; work performed in a plant environment; exposure to inclement weather as most work will be performed outside; Regularly required to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 lbs. or more; Frequently required to walk on unleveled ground; Strong work ethics of integrity and honesty striving for excellence in all activities employing accompanying communication; Dependability, reliability, fulfilling responsibilities; Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials and manipulating things; Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed; Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, and move about the facility; May be sensitive to confidential information; Must work independently and as a member of a team
