About the role

The Plant Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining regeneration facilities (PE, DI, Bottled Water) and plant to ensure an adequate supply of quality products are available for customers. This role requires skill, efficiency, and physical ability to handle Culligan equipment and parts.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Perform, maintain, and record accurate inventory of all parts and equipment.
  • Perform complete regeneration of all equipment, including transferring and cleansing resin, filling resin tanks with regenerated resin, sterilizing and installing all manifolds and caps, and testing for acceptable results.
  • Operate bottling facility according to established standards.
  • Ensure all tanks have media completely up to recommended level.
  • Identify and dump all tanks that are suspected of leaking or in need of repair.
  • Distribute products and parts to walk-in customers.
  • Communicate clearly and positively with customers, including legibly completing forms.
  • Take appropriate and immediate action to resolve complaints and seek opportunities for additional sales.
  • Maintain and repair automatic water conditioning equipment brought to warehouse for repair.
  • Maintain open and positive communication with other employees, departments, and dealerships to support company-wide goals.
  • Maintain a positive Culligan image and complete assessment inventories.
  • Handle all inbound and outbound goods and materials of the Plant.
  • Tag, label, and stock all warehouse supplies.
  • Efficiently complete all activities delegated by the Parts/Inventory Manager.
  • Load and unload forklifts and other warehouse machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain tidiness and cleanliness standards of the Plant/Parts department.
  • Organize stocking and properly store goods and materials.
  • Coordinate all work functions with co-workers, transporters, and other organizational departments.
  • Conduct regular checks and maintenance functions of all warehouse machinery.
  • Clean bottled water coolers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver's License & Forklift Certification.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.

  • Frequently work near moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasionally work in high, precarious places.
  • Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet-moderate.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move more than 115 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and continually lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • May occasionally work in confined spaces.

Specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used: Forklift, bottling machine, tools, and resin.

Pay

$20.00 per hour
