Plant Superintendent - Food Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Plant Superintendent to provide strategic operational oversight for production and operating processes at a single food manufacturing plant. This role owns safety, food quality, operational effectiveness, and financial performance for the plant, ensuring alignment with corporate EH&S, food safety, quality, and regulatory functions.

Responsibilities

• Ensures employee safety, food safety, and environmental compliance program standards and goals are implemented
• Accountable for all internal and external operating and regulatory procedures, including strategic and tactical execution aligned with corporate EH&S, food safety, quality, and regulatory functions as well as government regulations
• Led production and quality management deliverables to ensure customer, product, and quality standard requirements are met within specifications
• Establishes and deploys operational priorities for the plant
• Oversees overall operational management of the plant, implementing efficiency improvements that may include standardization of plant information and manufacturing systems, quality control, safety, production reliability, and maintenance and operator best practices
• Leads, directs, and controls capital and operating budgets to achieve medium term financial performance objectives
• Holds direct reports accountable for meeting production deliverables and controlling operating expenses against established targets
• Leads and develops a team, coaching and making decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 4+ years of related work experience in a food manufacturing setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Leverage Lean Six Sigma experience
• 4+ years of supervisory experience

Pay

This role offers a base salary of $120,000 to $160,000 per year.
