About the role

The Plant Superintendent supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in all phases of plant operation, overseeing schedules and manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality meet specifications. This position ensures project and department milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved budgets. The role requires extensive knowledge of department processes and a focus on continuous improvement in safety, food safety, quality, and efficiency across all departments.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of all safety, food safety, quality, and production.
  • Achieve production goals and schedules.
  • Assist in organizing and managing day-to-day activities for plant operations.
  • Constantly monitor work instructions, processes, and equipment to improve overall efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Implement continuous improvements for increased productivity and scrap reduction.
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Enforce all Grassland Dairy, Inc. Safety Policies, SQF Programs, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), Work Instructions, and Operating Procedures.
  • Provide and maintain a high level of morale and motivation throughout the plant.

Pay

Compensation for this position ranges from $98,800 to $102,752, based on education, experience, and relevant qualifications.
