Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the manufacturing environment.
- Comply with all company Quality, HACCP, GMP, and Food Safety standards.
- Maintain strict compliance in PPE for extended periods of time.
- Understand the use and proper titrations of approved chemicals for the sanitation process and distribute plantwide.
- Sanitize equipment and utensils using water pressure hose and chemicals.
- Perform and document Sanitation duties as outlined by Master Sanitation checklists.
- Interact with Sanitation Supervisors and Leads to prioritize specific projects and evaluate the progress of work.
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality Control, and Maintenance departments on cleaning procedures and projects.
- Operate Power Scrubbers and PIT equipment (Pallet Jack, Fork Truck, Scissor Lifts, etc.).
- Assist with recycling disposal program and general waste management.
- Safely operate tray washing machine.
- Respond to radio calls for cleanup assistance as needed.

- Must be able to stand for 8 – 12 hours per day with applicable breaks
- Able to lift, carry, bend, push, pull, and twist frequently as needed
- Able to walk long distances and walk-up flights of stairs for an 8-hour period
- Able to operate floor and parts cleaning equipment
- Willingness to work at heights of up to 30 feet in the air
- Able to operate forklift, electric pallet jack, and scissor lift
- Able to work with industrial cleaning chemicals for extended periods of time
- Willingness to perform custodial duties when assigned
- Able to sweep and mop large areas by hand
- Able to wear PPE attire when handling chemicals
- Withstand getting wet from washing machinery for extended periods of time
- Prior experience in food manufacturing setting is not necessary but preferred
- Prior experience in kitchen, manufacturing, or medical environment sanitation strongly preferred
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
- Regular and timely attendance
