About the Team
The position will be split between leading Quality Management System (QMS) compliance and Launch Readiness activities. The ideal candidate would have a strong knowledge of quality and project management.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for QMS topics, standards, certifications, and customer-specific requirements.
- Manage QMS compliance, audits, and continuous improvement activities in alignment with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
- Act as lead internal auditor and coordinate internal, external, process, and system audits.
- Lead cross-functional teams in audit preparation, execution, and corrective action problem solving.
- Manage document control, calibration support, and quality system orientation training.
- Manage plant program/project industrialization, engineering changes, and special customer or project builds.
- Identify, manage, and escalate Operations Launch Management deliverables, checkpoints, APQP gate reviews, and milestones.
- Lead plant core team coordination to reduce launch delays and ensure timely completion of launch deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing or related field.
- 3+ years minimum experience in Quality Management Systems within Automotive industry or manufacturing industries.
- Strong Project Management and Launch Readiness Experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements.
- Prior experience leading IATF certification process.
- Proficiency in quality tools including FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC, MSA, and Control Plans.
- Ability to work in teams and multi-tasking capabilities.
- Ability to drive sense of urgency and influence across the organization.
- Certified Internal Auditor or Lead auditor (ISO9001/IATF16949) preferred.
