Plant Production Worker (Truck & Trailer Dumper)

Production Worker position at our Somerset, PA facility.

About the role

Responsible for loading and unloading raw material and finished product, as well as maintaining cleanliness of the plant and equipment.

Schedule

Monday through Friday; start times vary between 3:00 AM and 11:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Use high-pressure hose to wash parking lot, plant equipment, and surrounding areas, including spilled material.
• Paint and wash plant equipment and building fixtures as necessary.
• Use standard hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, wrenches, etc.) and power tools (drills, impact drivers, saws, etc.).
• Operate company vehicles around the plant and property.
• Ensure steady flow of raw material from trailers to dock in a safe and efficient manner.
• Check and report the condition of raw material loads and truck interiors.
• Perform general labor tasks including janitorial cleaning and vehicle washing.
• Maintain safety as the top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
• A CDL "B" license with tanker endorsement is a plus.

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
• Frequently must push, pull, move, or lift up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

Job functions are carried out in a facility that requires tolerance for high heat and/or cold temperatures.
