Plant Production Worker (Truck & Trailer Dumper)

Production Worker position at our Somerset, PA facility.

About the role

Responsible for loading and unloading raw material and finished product, maintaining plant cleanliness, and ensuring equipment is kept in good condition.

Schedule

Monday through Friday. Start times range from 3:00 AM to 11:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Use high-pressure hose to wash parking lot, plant equipment, and surrounding areas, including spilled material.
• Paint and wash plant equipment and building fixtures as necessary.
• Use standard hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, wrenches, etc.) and power tools (drills, impact drivers, saws, etc.).
• Operate company vehicles around plant and property.
• Ensure steady flow of raw material from trailers to dock in a safe and efficient manner.
• Check and report condition of raw material load and truck interior.
• Perform general labor tasks including janitorial cleaning and vehicle washing.
• Maintain safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
• CDL "B" license with tanker endorsement is a plus.

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
• Frequently must push, pull, move, or lift up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

Job functions are carried out in a facility requiring tolerance for high heat and/or cold temperatures.
