Plant Operator (NIGHT)

About the role

Airgas is hiring for a Plant Operator position in Muscatine, IA. This position involves loading and packaging dry ice, complying with safety and quality policies, and performing general cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Loads and packages dry ice on a daily basis in accordance with quality standards.
• Knows and complies with all safety and quality policies and procedures.
• Clean-up functions including, but not limited to, sweeping, washing, painting, trash removal and pick-up.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• One (1) year experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, commissions, proportions, and percent.
• Must be in good physical condition and able to lift and manipulate dry ice blocks ranging in weight from 5 - 60 pounds each.
• Work may require standing, stooping, crouching, or bending.
