Plant Operator (Night)

Job Summary

We are hiring a Plant Operator in Hopewell, VA to support the safe and efficient loading and packaging of dry ice products. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on quality assurance and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily loading, weighing, and packaging of dry ice products into various containers (blocks, pellets, slices) based on customer orders.
• Ensure all finished products meet the company’s high quality standards regarding weight, density, and packaging integrity.
• Operate production machinery and material handling equipment (such as forklifts or pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.
• Accurate logging of production numbers, shipping manifests, and inventory usage.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, commissions, proportions, and percent.
