Plant Operator (Lost Creek)

About the role

Plant Operators perform work essential to the processing of uranium at the Lost Creek facility. Responsibilities include operating all systems in the uranium processing plant (IX, Elution, Precipitation, Filtration, Drying, Packaging, Water Treatment, and Reagents) and maintaining regulatory compliance. This is a shift work position.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate circuits of a uranium recovery processing plant.
• Collect samples and perform basic laboratory functions, using results to guide facility operations.
• Collect and record operational data.
• Perform routine inspections and minor repairs.
• Identify additional maintenance requirements.
• Communicate with other facility teams to ensure a productive and safe work environment.
• Operate pumps manually or via computer systems to transfer fluids, chemicals, and produced material within plant systems to achieve production goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months or more of related experience and training.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Basic math skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Currently legally authorized to work in the U.S.
